While most of the items you find on this site are meant to be useful in a common sense manner, some folks have realized that each item contains a significant length of very strong cord, which could be used in an emergency situation.
These items are small enough they can be kept in a glove compartment of your vehicle, tossed in a back-pack, your m/purse, or even your pocket.

A chunky fob designed more for emergencies. With 4 strands about 5' long, it can be 'unbraided' and used for several things.
Turk's Head coaster. Flat and about 4" in diameter it contains about 9' of 4.4 mm (just over 1/8") starter cord. Left unsealed to make it easy to unbraid. Small enough to fit in a shirt pocket.
